Hans Zimmer is probably my favorite composer of all time. This video is a live performance of the Dark Knight film score. It has a really well done progressive tension about it, that Zimmer is especially good at.

I saw this video a few months ago and thought it was really incredible. The guy in the video is Guillaume Nery, the former record holder for the deepest free dive (no oxygen) of 109 meters back in 2007. This video is more of an epic demonstration of him pretending to base jump into Dean’s Blue Hole. The outcome is simply beautiful and insane at the same time.
Wow this presentation has been buzzing around twitter like crazy today. The Wilderness Downtown is an intriguing, interactive piece that offers yet another example of how powerful HTML5 is and where the internet is heading. Until this point, I never realized how much of Flash really could be mimicked using these new technologies (HTML5, CSS3). [...]
Some great examples of what you can do with a camera and some imagination. When I was a young’n, I enjoyed pretending to squish the sun with my fingers or hiding a person with my pencil. Heck, I still enjoy doing that every now and again.

I stumbled upon a simple poster type design this morning and it really struck me. The design isn’t “all that”, but the statement that comes across really hit home. The last few months have been very tight (financially, spiritually, physically, ect…) and sometimes it’s easy to focus on these things, and forget about the hundreds [...]
It’s almost been a week since I’ve written anything, it looks like I’m doing more training than blogging! I’ll write about my Saturday workout and then catchup on the rest of the week tomorrow.
So Saturday… A friend from church called Friday evening and asked if I wanted to go riding with him at 6:30am. I’ve [...]
Man do I love technology. The folks at Displax have developed an ultra thin film, which projects a high definition picture that can be controlled by touch (using Nanotechnology). The roll-out film can be placed on anything other then a metal surface and is semi transparent.

I’m really on a photography binge lately. I just keep finding some very creative and well done compositions and can’t help to share. Today’s “Cool Thing” is a set of drops taken at high speed. The photographer used different colors and liquid to create a stunning effect.

Here is some fantastic artwork made out of toilet paper rolls and cut outs. A very simple concept that is implemented quite splendidly. I love the effect it gives when adding back light. Even though it’s such a common piece of cheap cardboard, this artist brought such an elegance to it.

Say it ain’t so! Where were these when I was growing up in the 80’s? oh well, I guess USB drives didn’t exist back then anyways. This is a really unique little gadget that is sure to make any Transformers + Computer Geek water at the mouth. It comes in both the Autobot Tigertrot and [...]
These are some great ads
These black and white photographs by Nick Brandt are absolutely stunning. The lighting and depth of field of these animals is very well done.
MikroKopter – HexaKopter from Holger Buss on Vimeo.
Boy do I wish I had one of these toys when I was a kid. The HexaKopter is controlled by remote, and has a plethora of capabilities like GPS, Camera, Height Detection, and probably more things that I don’t understand. Watch it all the way through and check [...]
It’s amazing to see how far architecture has come over the course of history. Architects are continuing to push not only creativity, but ecologically efficient structures. The link below shows an astonishing new look at where building design is going.

Very creative illustrations of famous celebrities using Cassette Tape. At first I thought these were hand drawn with a sharpie. Very cool imagination and implementation!
